Ann an 1990-91 chum Comhairle Roinn Strath Chluaidh, mar a bh’ann an uair sin, co-labhairt ann an taigh-òsda Stonefield Castle, anns an Tairbeart, Loch Fìne, do’n d’thug iad cuireadh do dhaoine bho na h-uile ceàrnaidh do Earraghàidheal aig a robh ùidh ann a bhith cuir air bhonn Co-Roinnean Gàidhlig. Goirid an déidh sin chaidh coinneamhan a chumail anns gach sgìre a dh’fhaicinn dé cho cothromach ‘sa bha seo agus an gabhadh e dheanamh.

Chum sinne coinneamh ann an sgoil an t-Sàilean aig an robh dà fhichead duine an làthair agus, ann an lorg sin, chaidh Co-Roinn Ghàidhlig Mhuile agus Idhe a stéidheachadh. Chaidh Co-Roinnean cuideachd a stéidheachadh ann an Ceann Tìre, Còmhal, Eileanan Bhòid, Ìle, Diùra, Collasa, Tiriodh agus Colla, agus ann am Meadhon-Earraghàidheal agus Lathurna.

‘Se priòmh amas na Co-Roinnean iòmhaigh na Gàidhlig agus cultair na Gàidhlig àrdachadh anns gach sgìre.

Tha taic airgiod mu thimchioll air £1000 gu £1500 air fhaighinn bho Chomhairle Earraghàidheal agus Bhòid a h-uile bliadhna.
